I'm new to this blogging thing so please bear with me...
Leslie and I have been tackling this weight loss thing since around the beginning of the year. We make weekly healthy dinners, and reminisce about how hot we were when we were 20...40...pounds lighter. Vegas is obviously our biggest motivator, as is a wedding in September in which I am the only member of the bridal party that is over 5'2 or approx. 67 lbs. I was able to lose the first 19 pounds with fairly consistent diet and exercise, but with only 7 weeks until Vegas, it is getting down to crunch time.
Julie K. is our group's engineer/unregistered dietitian/Russian/I would kill someone to have her body. I was only half joking when I asked her to make me lose 20 pounds before Vegas. I was secretly hoping that she would tell me about some secret steam room that only people with <6% body fat know about. Instead, she emailed me a strict, 21 day diet plan with instructions that I couldn't cheat, and I would have to give up booze.
Thank goodness Leslie was completely on board. Somehow we are going to get through the next 7 weeks together. We spent 6 hours yesterday putting together our meals for the week. I find it interesting that our meals seem to be all the same color. Lunch: Yellow. Dinner: Green.
If I still love zucchini after this is over, it will be a miracle.
19 pounds down. 20 to go!
