So it's been a week since we've blogged and probably because this week isn't making me want to end my life. Spinach is way better than soggy squash, and a baked potato beats dried brown rice!!!
Also, we learned our lesson not to cook all of our dinners and try to eat them each night. Last Friday I was gagging when I opened my tilapia. I went into a downward spiral and didn't want any food. NO FOOD would satisfy or help how I was feeling.
Finally on Friday after walking through the grocery store, pouting, and thinking about all the things I would never eat again we decided to go to potbelly (yes Julie K...we ventured off of the plan). I ate a skinny turkey sandwich and veggie soup and it was like I'd downed the bottle of ranch of fried food I'd been cravy all week. It's bad when a turkey sandwich (around 200 calories) makes you feel like your cheating!
The weigh in on Monday only showed 1 pound. If any of you are males reading this, brace yourself, I also had my monthly visitor pre stuff to contend with. I pulled a no/no and got back on the scale Tuesday morning and was down more like 3lbs. I'll see where I'm at next week :).
The big trip is 5 weeks from today. I'm still confident that I'll weigh 15 lbs less than I did when we started this strict version. This week has also been full of compliments from people who are noticing the weight loss which leads to more motivation!!
